#22 — Highly recommended books from John Maeda, Jason Fried and others
10 things worth sharing each week
Hi there,
It’s been 2 weeks since my last email.
Last week I was busy taking care my 10-month-old baby at home. So I don’t read links much. But I did read several books. And I think it may be a good time to share some readings I enjoyed. Here they are, all highly recommended:
The Law of Simplicity, by John Maeda.
Redesigning Leadership, by John Maeda with Rebecca J Bermont.
Press Here, by Hervé Tullet.
The book with no pictures, by B.J. Novak.
Live your dash, by Linda Ellis.
OffScreen, by Kai Brach.
Rework, by Jason Fried and DHH.
Defensive Design for the Web, by Matthew Linderman and Jason Fried.
The Road Less Traveled, by M. Scott Peck.
CSS Secrets, by Lea Verou
One more book: My all time favorite: Getting Real by 37signals.
p.s. They are all direct URLs, no affiliate links.
p.p.s. Every year during summer, I found myself exhausted with many on going projects. This year is no exception. That’s why I suddenly failed to commit myself for the weekly writings. I’m now forcing myself to overcome it. Things are getting better, hopefully.
Have a great week,
Thomas Mak
